LEADERS
Central Support: expectations & benefits
This is about more than content. It’s about building a movement.
theChurch.digital is not here to create content for content’s sake. We are here to mobilize digital missionaries, validate their calling and equip them to make disciples in digital spaces. Central Support is a key part of this mission. This is not just about contributing. This is about shaping a scalable, reproducible culture for digital ministry.
Expectations of central support:
Create content that fuels digital missions.
Each Central Support member is expected to create content monthly. Word Revolution assists with producing or finalizing content, but you get to take the lead in shaping and sharing your content.
Choose your format
You may focus on blogs, videos, or alternate between both. Topics and themes are up to you, but they must align with digital missions.
Content creation options
theChurch.digital’s blog
Write a blog (800–1,200 words) focused on digital missionaries and digital church. We no longer publish content about physical churches doing digital ministry.
Blogs will be posted on theChurch.digital’s blog
theChurch.digital’s Youtube
Record a video (2–3 per month) for theChurch.digital’s Youtube channel. Videos can be 60 seconds to 5 minutes long. Ingrid Nunes can assist with recording.
Sessions take less than 20 minutes.
Engage in community spaces
Each Central Support member is expected to contribute to theChurch.digital’s Discord server and Whatsapp community. In addition to general participation, two specific activities are required each month.
Being part of central support means more than just contributing content. It’s about showing up and engaging with the community, which includes being active in theChurch.digital’s Discord server and Whatsapp community by leading two activities each month.

- On the day of the event, post a reminder in Discord’s general chat and Whatsapp’s fam channel a few hours in advance, then again shortly before it starts.
- Keep it interactive. This is a conversation, not a lecture.
Post a relational selfie video
Selfie videos should be under 2 minutes, in portrait format and designed to spark conversation. These videos should either include a question in the video or as text in the post.
Examples of relational selfie videos
- What’s something in your life you struggled or are struggling to let go of?
- Last week, God called me out on this. What’s he been calling you to step into?
- What’s the one worship song that fuels your mission when ministry feels tough?
- Hot take: Which is harder, getting churches to embrace digital discipleship or convincing people Nickelback was underrated?
How to post a relational selfie video
- Choose a topic or question.
- Record an authentic, casual video on your phone.
- Post the video in Discord or Whatsapp.
- If needed, reinforce the question in text.
- Engage with responses throughout the day.
Equip and mobilize digital missionaries
Your expertise helps shape theChurch.digital’s equipping process. Whether it’s building partnerships, developing training materials, or advising on strategy, your role in Central Support helps equip digital missionaries for long-term impact.
This happens on a case-by-case basis. Some areas require deep involvement, while others are simpler. If you can help develop the Equipping Library and Outpost Network, step in.
Why this matters
theChurch.digital is not just a content hub. We are a digital missionary sending agency. Your contribution is not about making noise,, content for the sake of content. It is about mobilizing digital missionaries to bring the gospel into digital spaces.
This is about making disciples. Let’s get to work.
